Additions To The 2005 NFL Figure Lineups From McFarlane Toys

March 11, 2005
McFarlane Toys announced huge news for NFL fans for this year! This year it looks to see a 3rd series of 12-inch NFL figures, a 3rd set of 3-inch NFL figures, 2 NFL box sets, NFL series 11 and 12 and changes to the order. The following is the highlights of what's to come!

A third series of 12-inch NFL figures for this fall. In addition to giving some of the best active players the "SUPERSTAR" (i.e., large-scale) treatment, they'll also be offering two players from our NFL Legends debut series in 12-inch scale. The 12-inch NFL figures should be arriving in stores in early August; here's the lineup:

* Jerome Bettis, Pittsburgh Steelers RB
* Terrell Owens 2, Philadelphia Eagles WR
* LaDainian Tomlinson 2, San Diego Chargers RB
* Tom Brady, New England Patriots QB
* Troy Aikman, Dallas Cowboys QB
* John Elway, Denver Broncos QB

A third set of 3-inch NFL figures will be in stores in early August as well:

* Randy Moss, Oakland Raiders WR
* Peyton Manning 2, Indianapolis Colts QB
* LaDainian Tomlinson 2, San Diego Chargers RB
* Terrell Owens 2, Philadelphia Eagles WR
* Jerome Bettis, Pittsburgh Steelers RB
* Warren Sapp, Oakland Raiders DE
* Roy Williams, Dallas Cowboys FS
* Brett Favre, Green Bay Packers QB
* Tom Brady, New England Patriots QB
* Ray Lewis, Baltimore Ravens LB
* Donovan McNabb, Philadelphia Eagles QB
* Michael Vick 2, Atlanta Falcons QB

Note, the five figures that have previously been released in 3-inch scale (the bottom five on the above list) will be in different uniforms than their first release.

Two NFL boxed sets will be offered this year. The first is a nod to this past January's NFC Championship game and features Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick trying to avoid a tackle from Philadelphia Eagles free safety Brian Dawkins. This will be the first new NFL product for the upcoming season, slated to hit shelves in late July. The second boxed set is a salute to the diehard fans in Green Bay. It'll showcase Packers wide receiver Javon Walker making the traditional "Lambeau Leap" into the stands to meet the fans. Look for the "Lambeau Leap" to arrive in stores in October.

There has been some "series swapping" in the previously announced NFL 11 and NFL 12 lineups. Jets center Kevin Mawae and Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson 3 have been shifted from NFL 11 to NFL 12. In return, Chiefs tackle Willie Roaf and Giants running back Tiki Barber 2 have slid from NFL 12 to NFL 11. Also added new Oakland Raiders receiver Randy Moss into the NFL 11 lineup. The reloaded NFL series for this fall look like this:

NFL 11

* Ben Roethlisberger
* Tom Brady 2
* Randy Moss 3
* Willie Roaf
* Julius Jones
* NFL Draft Pick Figure
* Joe Horn
* Willis McGahee
* Tiki Barber 2

NFL 12

* LaDainian Tomlinson 3
* Drew Brees
* Donovan McNabb 2
* Brett Favre 3
* LaVar Arrington
* Marvin Harrison 2
* Corey Dillon
* Kevin Mawae

Look for NFL 11 to arrive in stores in early September, followed by NFL 12 in late October.
