Superman Blue and Superman Red is such an easy thing, it's a wonder McFarlane hasn't done them already (I know there was the silver age version, but specifically the 90's take on it). But to not bother doing anything for the electricity effects? DC Universe Classics got that right!

Still wish someone would do a Strange Visitor figure, though...

After a run of must buys, McFarlane next few waves are hard passes for me. The Superman & Lantern waves are not my cup of tea. When they get back to some Batman theatrical, family, & villain characters, my wallet will open up.

Oh those guys, electrical super-color twins, I gotta tell you when the story was "a thing" I just wasn't enthused, it seemed so gimmicky, and of course so 90's of them, 2 Superman's one cool and fresh and one whos all hot tempered and doing his doing, and one is Blue..One is Red, Yeah it made me go..yuck, of course they did look kinda peak 90's rad...I mean..but like the whole super man gets all electro-y story preceeding it was dumb too, however after the dust of the dirty 90's ding dong stories have settled...Why do I kinda love these two?, either way...they are flying in No buy zone, but Yeah like way to get the goods out of 1 mold, oh and to make sure you did, Don't have two different color electric effects...Nobody gon notice.

They didn't even bother to recast the electric bits in red plastic for the red guy

The new McFarlane Toys Superman Blue VS Superman Red (DC Multiverse) McFarlane Collector Edition 2-Pack 7" Figure is now available for pre-order on: McFarlaneToysStoreSent to Earth from the dying planet of Krypton as a baby, Kal-El was found by farmers Martha and Jonathan Kent and raised as their son, Clark. As Clark grew up, the radiation from Earth's yellow sun gave him extraordinary powers, which he kept hidden. Now fully grown, he uses his powers to protect his adopted world as Superman. The Man of Steel is virtually invulnerable and has the powers of super-strength, super-speed, and flight. He also has enhanced senses, including heat vision, X-ray vision, super-hearing, and super-breath.

So 90's Catwoman molded in black with Hush Catwomans head and a belt. McFarlane doesnt know how to do reuse.

not even! and thats the fun part, they didnt use the 90s catwoman, you know the one that had the zipper sculpted in, the same zipper that was used on characters with no zippers, like Supergirl... so this Hush Catwoman who has a zipper costume gets a re-used torso that doesn't have it lol

McFarlane has to crank these figures out so they can sell them via online retailers mostly with limited availability at brick & mortar stores since they have to clear the shelves by December 31st. The avalanche has begun.

All the more reason to see what Mattel does instead. I've never understood the zeal for mcfarlane's stuff and over the years, the company has consistently given me no reason to see otherwise. The "junior" line Mattel has done so far for $12.00 has really raised eyebrows. So good on them, good sign for the adult collector series to come.

Affleck's Batman is good, too, but why couldn't they have released it like this from the start? (Why did they have to waste all that expensive plastic?)

Because McFarlane?

I suppose it's almost poetic that at the end of the line we finally start to get the figures the way they could have and should have been done from the jump...

I understand that McFarlane can't manufacture DC figures after 12/31, but why would the stores have to have them off their shelves by then? I would think they could still sell whatever inventory they have. I beleive the Spin Master license has ended, but I still see their figures on the shelf at Walmart and Target (actually, I've yet to see any of the Mattel stuff on the shelves at my local Walmarts even though they've released through other retailers).
