That's what I think happened with the BvS/Justice League Batmobile and the Suicide Squad Harley - they were offered prior to the extension of McFarlane's license by an additional year, so I expect the idea of preselling them as Kickstarters was to try and circumvent that cut-off date. With the extra year he managed to wrangle out of DC, I doubt there'd be as much leeway, especially with Mattel saying their collector line will be on shelves 1 January 2027.
But you can never tell, especially these days!

I can remember a Supergirl figure in particular that was barely offered because it came out so late.
I honestly don't remember, but one thing to keep in mind is that every licensing deal is different. Terms are almost never exactly the same from one company to the next, even with the same licensor. Also things sometimes get leaked, teased, and even solicited that never make their way into collectors hands for any of myriad reasons.

I thought he would be cutting it pretty close to announce waves after Comic Con to get them produced, on the ships, and in the United States.
I am disappointed by Hawk and Dove probably not making it. But I still have hopes for Star Sapphire.
McFarlane certainly did seem to be running things down to the wire on the license. Given how far out production slots need to be booked etc, you'd think they'd have a better handle on that, especially if they needed to factor in getting new tooling made which is very expensive to then throw away on a non-produced figure.
Personally, I was hoping for the Batman '89 comic stuff since I doubt anyone's going to touch that anytime soon. Classic characters always have a chance under the next licensor (sooner or later), but niche interpretations like that comic are a rare shot.

That collector apathy combined with rising costs I can see being a reasonable factor for the business decision to cancel the remaining rumored product. Shame - there was at least some stuff that I was interested in from those rumor lists, but it's not the end of the world.

BTW, I'm reading that a number of rumored figures that were leaked online have been canceled by McFarlane. They don't have much momentum going into the final months of the DC license. I would have thought they would have wanted to go out with a bang.
