DC Comics Signs Carlos Pacheco To 3-Year Exclusive Contract

DC COMICS SIGNS CARLOS PACHECO TO 3-YEAR EXCLUSIVE CONTRACT

Carlos Pacheco, the acclaimed artist of JLA/JSA: VIRTUE AND VICE, ARROWSMITH and Avengers Forever, has signed a 3-year exclusive contract with DC Comics.

"All these years, the DC characters have seemed like expensive toys in a store something you can look at, but you can't play with," says Pacheco. "Every time I saw an issue of JLA, JSA, GREEN LANTERN, THE LEGION, or TEEN TITANS, I dreamed about what I would do with them. Well, the wait is over. I'm ready to take these toys and have the time of my life playing with them!"

As Dan DiDio, DC's VP Editorial, says, "It was essential to bring someone of Carlos's caliber to DC not only to lend his considerable talents to our ongoing, core series but also to help in relaunching some of our other prestigious characters."

Pacheco, who is currently cover artist on JSA, is working on an upcoming SUPERMAN/BATMAN story arc written by Jeph Loeb. Other projects will be announced as details become available.

ARROWSMITH issues are available as follows:

* ARROWSMITH #3 (JUL030224) is available for reorder.

* ARROWSMITH #4 (AUG030251) is available for advance reorder and is scheduled to arrive in stores on November 5.

* ARROWSMITH #5 (SEP030291) is available for advance reorder and is scheduled to arrive in stores on December 24.

* ASTRO CITY/ARROWSMITH (OCT030273) is solicited in the October issue of Previews (Volume XIII #10) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on December 3.

* ARROWSMITH #6 (NOV030258) is solicited in the November issue of Previews (Volume XIII #11) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on January 21.

In addition, JLA/JSA: VIRTUE AND VICE is available for reorder in both hardcover (STAR17241) and softcover (STAR19609) editions.
