WWE Elite Collection The Shark Target Exclusive Figure Review

He came from 200,000 leagues from the bottom of the sea on a tidal wave from the South China Sea to the sands of Waikiki. A predator and a scavenger of the Seven Seas with a taste of destruction in his jaws, he is the biggest maneater alive. Heroes of WCW tremble in fear when the first monster of the dungeon of doom is near.

SHARK ATTACK SHARK ATTACK SHARK ATTACK!!!!!

Mattel has once again delivered on one amazing and unique wrestling figure.

The Shark aka John Tenta.

As figures go, this Elite has captured not only the goofy/cartoonish look of the outfit and facepaint but honestly captured John "the Shark" Tenta's face to the T.

Absolutely authentic to this future Hall of Famer, from his ponytail to his body structure, this is from heel to forehead the Shark!

Let's go over the actual meat and potatoes. He comes packed with only one accessory which is a removable headband that has inscribed on it "Attack."

His wrestling gear is decked out in garish shark theme elements from his pants having literal sharks on it to his abdomen sporting an open "Jaws" inspired shark mouth that says Shark. His right forearm band is marked with Shark attack.

You get the feeling they needed to push the "Shark" elements just a bit.

The figure retains all the articulation you have come to expect for the Elite series, which makes him an ideal figure to display or play with. Especially if you have a Hulk Hogan figure for him to face off with.

As an Elite figure goes, it's a solid 10 but as a character, The Shark will only appeal to either fans of the old days of WCW or wrestling action figure completest.

Either way, Mattel has consistently delivered on not only mainstream superstars but obscure one dimensional gimmicks like The Shark. Hopefully, we can complete the dungeon of doom and recreate one of the most off-the-rails story arcs in professional wrestling history.

This figure is available now on Target.com. DPCI# 087-06-0429. Check out more images for this figure below in our GALLERY and thanks to the folks for providing us this figure so we could review it for you guys.

They should've made his teeth grinding together instead of trying to make him scream.

I cant help but find the expression on the Sharks face to be hilarious, lol... It cracks me up, for some reason. Hes probably intimidating, in real life. But, as a figure, I think he holds more of a comedic, discussion piece, appeal.

Yeah. He looks like he's alwaystaking a dump.
