Well, they just posted some new pics, they added that nice background and  I guess they also photoshoped the figures, maybe not but they definetly added some filter.

Gimli looks pretty good but Legolas looks like he needs to get some sleep.

Are those all the accessories that Legolas comes with?  What happened to his signature blades?  Did DST completely miss the mark?...

I'm a huge fan of LOTR and still have all the Toy Biz figures, but I honestly don't think this line will have much longevity.  Maybe another BAF wave and that might be it.

The faces look ok, don't know what happened to the paint the headsculpts had in the first images shown but the rest looks good so far.

I'm glad they went with a whole new box design rather then using the standard Diamond Select packaging, that packaging is just so cumbersome and foolish. I'm really curious to see if this line actually takes off within the collector community, I don't know why I feel as though it's destined for a limited run.

For the couple of people, apart from me, interested in the LoTR Select line. Today DST released new images of the wave. I hope they look that good in person.

The eyes on Frodo look weird, the head could use some work, it also took me a while to realize what he was holding I thought it was something else.

I just want more Orc figures to go along with my Toy Biz line...

OK, let's see, if I remember correctly Wave 2 would be Aragorn and the  Nazgul, maybe I read it wrong or there was a change of plans. I still need to see the first two figures to decide if I'm on board, It also looks like DST wants to keep the accessories a secret, all right, I'll stick around.
