McFarlane's The Crow release in 1999 for Movie Maniacs series was a decent release...
The Crow movie which came out long before anyone had ever heard of the MCU back in 1994 is one of the better comic book adaption movies of it's time. It starred the late Brandon Lee who gave a fantastic performance of The Crow character, but unfortunately lost his life during the the filming of the movie. The fatal accident involved a scene where the Draven character was shot by a gun that ended up having live ammunition in it. Despite the accident, because Lee had finished filming most of his scenes for the movie the decision was made to go on and release it at theaters. It was well received by movie audiences, however it was considered a sleeper at the Box Office. The movie has never had very good action figure representation, possibly due to the adult R rated nature of the movie or possibly because of the accident that cost the actors life. That however has finally changed thanks to the long-awaited One:12 Collective The Crow figure from Mezco Toyz.
The figure does a great job of capturing the Eric Draven (The Crow) likeness with it's details and accessories. The figure despite the soft-goods clothing also has a nice range of movement with the articulation. My only minor complaint about the figure is that the hands have a tendency to pop off very easily. If you have never seen The Crow movie I recommend you check it out and if you have ever wanted an action figure based on the character than this new figure from Mezco is the way to go. Check out my GALLERY of in-hand images below and feel free to share your own thoughts about the figure in the COMMENT SECTION.You can purchase this figure from our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth.
Easy pass for me although he looks nice. Looks like Sting of course, but Sting got his look from him!
The One:12 Collective The Crow features four head portraits with various expressions including surprised, teeth-gritting, smirking, and standard sculpts. The supernatural avenger is outfitted in a black shirt, leather-like pants, leather-like overcoat, and wears his fiances engagement ring around his neck in her memory. The Crow is brimming with film-accurate accessories including a crow-shaped flame display, a guitar with a leather-like strap, a tombstone with a crow that can sit atop, a flying crow that attaches to his display base, various weapons, and much more.
After a crow brings Eric Draven's restless soul back from the dead, he sets out to wreak revenge upon his killers. You can pre-order this figure now from our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com. Really impressive figure. Mezco knocked it out of the park again. Unfortunately this line is a little pricey so I'll have to admire them from afar.
How good this figure is will mostly depend in how well pants and coat fit figure and how long they gonna last, if it ends up asbad aTDRMutant leader pants it will be really bad.
'Bout damn time. I'd feeling better going for this if I already had my Death Dealer, but as long as he's not an exclusive, I'm definitely pre-ordering this.
