The official LEGO Universe trailer – unveiled at CES this week – is now available for download, along with the first in-game footage and new screenshots from the upcoming MMOG. The new video footage and art assets showcase an array of vivid locales, animated minifig avatars, and action-packed adventures that players will discover when LEGO Universe launches for PC later this year.
The LEGO Universe trailer introduces the destructive creatures seeking to snuff out imagination in the game world, asking LEGO fans to enlist in an epic battle of good versus evil. Gameplay videos show a variety of players and play styles, and several new screenshots display the first areas encountered in LEGO Universe, including Avant Gardens and Gnarled Forest.
Developed by The LEGO Group and NetDevil, LEGO Universe will bring the iconic brick online in the first MMOG – massively-multiplayer online game – based on the LEGO play experience. LEGO Universe will enable fans of all ages to build, create, interact with friends, battle, and explore LEGO worlds – past, present and future.
LEGO Universe is a family-friendly online game, appropriate for players aged eight and above. The LEGO brick lies at the center of the experience, and several levels of building are available, from simple gameplay-oriented challenges all the way up to sophisticated brick-by-brick design. With a creative and building focus, LEGO Universe invites players to flex their imaginations with the brick in a vibrant online world.
