LEGO Builds on Record Run With 21% Revenue Jump in First Half of 2026

The LEGO Group is having another blockbuster year.

The Danish toy giant reported record revenue of DKK 41.9 billion (US $6.5 billion) for the first half of 2026, a 21% increase from the same period last year. Consumer sales climbed 22%, helping LEGO outperform the growing global toy market and gain additional market share.

Operating profit also jumped 22% to DKK 10.9 billion (US $1.7 billion), while net profit rose an impressive 32% to DKK 8.6 billion (US $1.3 billion).

The company credited strong demand across its wide-ranging lineup, as well as the continued popularity of the LEGO brand. More than 330 new products launched during the first six months of the year, with top performers including LEGO Speed Champions, Botanicals, Technic, Icons and Star Wars.

LEGO also leaned heavily into pop culture and sports partnerships, generating buzz around Formula 1, the 2026 FIFA World Cup and KPop Demon Hunters. Its new SMART Play platform is bringing interactive technology to LEGO sets, with experiences so far tied to Star Wars and Pokémon.

Meanwhile, LEGO NINJAGO marked its 15th anniversary with new sets, collaborations and events. The franchise remains the company's longest-running homegrown entertainment property.

The company's entertainment and retail ambitions are expanding, too. LEGO acquired 29 LEGO and LEGOLAND Discovery Centres from Merlin Entertainments for DKK 1.9 billion (US $296 million), adding attractions that collectively draw about five million visitors each year. LEGO now operates 1,106 branded stores worldwide.

Sustainability remains another major focus. LEGO is increasing its use of renewable and recycled materials, transitioning toward paper-based packaging and expanding solar power at its factories. Construction is underway on a massive solar park in Billund, Denmark featuring 160,000 panels, expected to begin operating in 2027.

With a new manufacturing innovation center in Billund and factories and distribution facilities under construction in Virginia, LEGO says it is continuing to invest heavily in its global growth—even as the brick business posts record results.
