Leading die-cast and radio control (R/C) manufacturer Jada Toys introduces V-DUB$, the latest addition to its immensely popular Dub City brand. V-DUB$, with distinctive new packaging and design elements, features six models of the ever-popular Volkswagen: ’59 Beetle, ’62 Bus, ’63 Pickup, VW Thing, VW Ghia and the Buggy. The V-DUB$ will be available in stores August 2006 with a suggested retail price (SRP) of $2.99 for the 1:64, $11.99 for the 1:24 and $24.99 for the 1:18 scale models.

Loaded with unique features such as adjustable rear cambers (1:24 Beetle), opening front and rear safari windows (1:24 Bus) and removable surfboards, each model in the V-DUB$ line boasts incredible detailing. Professional paint, lifelike interiors and realistic engine bays along with opening doors, hood and trunks are the standard among all models. Several vehicles include luggage racks, alloy wheels, ragtops, authentic eyelid headlight covers and chrome bumpers. Vehicles will be available in two tone colors and solid colors.

Initially released under the Dub City Oldskool sub-line earlier this year, robust sales led Jada to create an entirely separate Volkswagen line under the V-DUB$ banner. “The classic VW beetle had been long awaited by many collectors and was well-received at retail,” said Jada Toys brand manager Robert Chiang. “By expanding on the popularity of Vee-Dub and creating its own line, V-Dub$ is able to offer consumers a variety of VW favorites from the past.

Jada will formally debut V-DUB$ at the popular VW Classic, June 11, 2006 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, Calif. Thousands of Vee-Dub fans gather at this popular annual event to buy, sell, trade and celebrate the lifestyle that is Volkswagen.

Since 2002, the company’s retail sales have exploded 5000 percent, while overall growth skyrocketed nearly 600 percent. The undisputed industry leader in “customized” die-cast cars, the company introduced the phenomenally successful Dub City, Homie Rollerz and Big Time Muscle brands while expanding retail outlets to include Walmart, Toys R Us, Kmart, KB Toys, Target, Macys and others.
