For the first time ever, two of America’s favorite sweethearts – Barbie® and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders – have joined together to create the first-ever, Pink Label™ Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Barbie® dolls. Fans of Barbie® and The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders alike will cheer for these beautiful collector dolls, which represent the darlings of professional football dressed in a fabulous re-creation of the world-famous Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders uniform. Recently unveiled during the final episode of the Country Music Television (CMT) reality show “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Making the Team 2,” the new Barbie® dolls arrive in time for the holidays and are available today via pre-order on Walmart.com.

“We cannot think of a better way to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’ uniform,” said Kelli Finglass, Director of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. “The accomplished and diverse women who make up the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are honored to have a Barbie doll represent our timeless brand and standards of excellence to share with fans everywhere.”

Both Barbie® doll and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are strong, positive role models for girls and women alike, proving that there are no limits to what they can accomplish. Barbie® boasts more than 100 careers to-date, including U.S. presidential candidate, astronaut, doctor, teacher, Olympic athlete and others. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders also represent a wide array of equally impressive professions, and perform audience-gasping dance routines during game day performances, cheer the troops in USO® Tours, participate in international activities and volunteer for community service functions and events year-round.

“Partnering with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders to design their first-ever Barbie dolls was absolutely incredible,” said Director of Barbie® Collector Marketing, Elizabeth Grampp. “The Barbie dolls represent the heart and soul of American spirit and reflect the intricate design of the world-renowned Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders uniforms.”

Mattel designer Robert Best meticulously reproduced the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’ internationally recognized uniform, including the iconic blouse, star-spangled vest and belt, and white shorts, with the finishing touches of white cowboy boots and blue and silver poms.

“For me, working with the incredibly talented and enthusiastic Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders holds special significance,” said Mattel Designer, Robert Best. “I grew up seeing them on television and was impressed with their determination, precision, beauty and poise. It was an honor and personal dream come true designing the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Barbie dolls and I know that fans around the world are going to cheer for them.”

The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Barbie® doll is available in Caucasian (blonde), African-American and Hispanic (brunette) versions and is available to pre-order now on Walmart.com. Beginning in December 2007, the dolls will be available at Wal-Mart stores, Dallas Cowboys Pro Shops and www.cowboysonlineproshop.com for a suggested retail price of $34.95 each.
