Actress Fay Wray, best known as the damsel-in-distress from the 1933 classic "King Kong", has died age 96.
A spokesperson for Wray, who also appeared in movies such as "The Wedding March," "The Vampire Bat," "Dr. X" and "The Mystery of the Wax Museum", said she died Sunday at her manhattan apartment.
Ironically, "King Kong" is about to remade with Peter Jackson as Director, and Naomi Watts in the role made famous by Wray.
