'Cars' Moved Back To June of 2006

Pixar has announced that Cars, its next movie after the highly successful release of The Incredibles this fall, has been pushed back from November 2005 to June 2006. The company believes that a summer release is better both for the film, which then plays in the summer season, and the DVD, which streets during the holidays. Cars is the last film in Pixar's distribution deal with Disney; the delay will give the company more time to choose a new distributor (or to negotiate with an Eisner-less Disney).
