Saw 2 Has Already Been Written

According to The Age, Evolution are nutting out the details for "Saw 2" as we speak, with the boys attached to executive produce.

First things first. The script. Its already been written. Like the recent "Ocean's Twelve", it wasn't written with the "Saw" series in mind, but it'll be tweaked to include the film's central rogue, The Jigsaw killer. Neither Wan or Whannell had anything to do with the snapped-up spec.

"Right now we're just working on the script," Producer Greg Hoffman says. "The boys are attached as executive producers and we'll deal with that in the next few weeks in terms of their involvement and who is going to be directing.

"We quickly realised it (the new script) was a natural to become a sequel. Some (characters) are coming back, some aren't. It's mostly brand new characters, but there's a couple of people coming back.

"Obviously Jigsaw is. Beyond that you will have to just wait and see."

Heard rumblings that they want Danny 'I'm too old for this shit' Glover to return actually. Which would make sense.
