Star Trek: Will There Be A New Movie & Season Five?

TrekWeb has posted new comments from "Star Trek" franchise producer Rick Berman from the latest issue of Star Trek Communicator, in which he appears to confirm recent rumors of a delay of the possible prequel feature film in development.

"We are continuing to develop a project that is in the very early stages," says Berman. "It is in a little less of an early stage than it was the last time we spoke, but it is still too early to discuss it. I think there will be some discussion about it in the next couple of months. There is movement."

The site adds that with the naming of new Paramount studio Chairman and CEO Brad Grey, the future of the "Star Trek" feature films may be up in the air at this time.

Berman also admits ratings for UPN's Star Trek: Enterprise aren't as good as they'd hope for and that the network is expected to announce in the spring whether or not there will be a fifth season.
