HollywoodReporter.com reports that Sci Fi Channel and BBC Worldwide Americas announced on Thursday a licensing agreement for the second season of Doctor Who.
The series will return to Sci-Fi on September 2006 with a two-hour premiete that will include the Christmas Invasion special in which David Tennant (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) was introduced as the 10th Time Lord. Doctor Who averaged 1.5 million viewers a week on Sci Fi and this new deal will give the network exclusive first-run rights for the U.S. Season 2 has already aired on BBC1 in the U.K.
