Stars Moving From The Big Screen To The TV Screen

Former The Practice star Lara Flynn Boyle has been tapped to star in UPN's drama pilot Crazy, Henry Winkler is set to co-star in CBS' untitled Christopher Lloyd/Joe Keenan comedy, Emily Deschanel has been cast as the lead in Fox's drama pilot Bones, and Jessica Capshaw has landed the lead in NBC's comedy pilot Thick and Thin.
The Hollywood Reporter says Beverly Hills, 90210 alums Jason Priestley and Lindsay Price have been cast in CBS' Love Monkey and The WB's Pepper Dennis, respectively, Mark Feuerstein has joined Dylan McDermott in CBS' drama pilot 3 Lbs., Tony winner Audra McDonald has been cast in the WB's untitled college drama pilot, and Emmy winner Patricia Wettig has come onboard ABC's drama pilot Introducing Lennie Rose.
Crazy, from Spelling TV, centers on a female psychiatrist (Boyle) who sees the problems of her patients reflected in her own life.
The untitled Lloyd/Keenan comedy, from Paramount Network TV, revolves around a family of doctors, with Winkler as the father and Stockard Channing as the mother.
Bones, from 20th Century Fox TV, centers on a female forensic anthropologist (Deschanel) who comes in to solves crimes when other investigative avenues fail.
Thick and Thin, formerly the untitled Paula Penn project, from NBC Universal TV Studio and Broadway Video TV Production, centers on a former fat woman (Capshaw) who struggles as she grows into her new skin.
Love Monkey, from Paramount Network TV and Sony Pictures TV, chronicles the lives of four male friends in various stages of dating and marriage. Priestley will play one of them, a married doctor.
Pepper Dennis, from 20th Century Fox TV, centers on an ambitious TV news reporter (Rebecca Romijn) who tries to balance work, romance and family. Price will play the woman's best friend.
3 Lbs., from Paramount Network TV, is a medical drama revolving around brain surgeons.
The WB's untitled college project, from HBO Independent Prods. and Warner Bros. TV, is an ensemble drama about the lives of students and teachers at a small Manhattan college. McDonald will play a professor at the college.
Lennie Rose, from Touchstone TV, is a light drama about single woman (Abigail Spencer) trying to find love and make it big. In addition to Wettig, also cast in the pilot is Vondie Curtis-Hall (TNT's Freedom Song).
In other pilot-casting news, Michael Boatman (ABC's Spin City) has joined ABC's Play Dates, Mitch Rouse and John Ducey have joined The WB's Grown Men, Nestor Serrano (Fox's 24) has been cast in Fox's Murder Book, Julie Ann Emery (Hitch) has come aboard ABC's Commander in Chief, and Idris Elba has joined NBC's Would of Trouble.
