Nickelodeon TMNT Secret Sewer Lair Playset On Sale For $100 At TRU?!?

Toys R' Us has started to send out their "Big Book" of coupons for the holiday shopping season and in it you will find a coupon for $30 off (coupon code #955397) on Playmates Nickelodeon TMNT Secret Sewer Lair Playset.

Now here is where things get a little confusing. In the "Big Book" they indicate with the $30 savings the playset will cost you $99.99. See a scan of the ad below.



Now the original selling price for this playset, at least online was $119. It however is now listed online with a price of $139.99. We aren't sure what this playset is selling for at the actual physical stores right now, but for the $30 coupon to bring the price down to $99, it would have to sell for about $130. This would be $10 more than the original price but $10 less than the current online price.

Our advice if you want to try and take advantage of the $99 sale price regardless of what the current regular price is, we suggest that you go into an actual TRU store taking a copy of the Big Book with you (I think you can also pick up copies of the book in store as well if you don't get one in the mail) and show them the advertised $99 sale price that is listed. If it rings up more, they will hopefully adjust the price for you. Of course the sale price doesn't reflect sales tax.

Also we wanted to make sure people were aware that Toy R' Us has a price matching policy as well. Since the Secret Sewer Playset is currently only sold at TRU stores it won't help you much with that, but if you find other regular released product cheaper somewhere else, you can likely get TRU to match it for you.
