Playmates Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x G.I. Joe Crossover Toys - What's Exclusive And What's Not

by Jay Cochran
May 23, 2026
The Platmates Toys GIJoe x TMNT crossover line as we mentioned the other day launches for pre-order tomorrow (5/24). Here is a breakdown of what will be a mass retail release and what will be exclusive based on what was said at NY Toy Fair back in February.

Single release 4.5-5.25” figure assortment features
• Leo as Snake Eyes
• Donnie as Dial-Tone
• Mikey as Shipwreck
• Raph as Roadblock
• Shredder as Cobra Commander
• Krang as Destro (alternate weapon hands)
• Slash as Storm Shadow
• Bebop and Rocksteady as Ripper and Buzzer

Vehicle mashups drawing from iconic TMNT and G.I. JOE designs — the Turtle-Fly Copter and the A.W.E. Shell-Striker:
Turtle-Fly copter - featuring spinning katana helicopter blades, firing missiles, a rappel line, and more.
AWE Shell-Striker - featuring functioning missile launchers as well as space for your Ninja Turtle/Joe team on it, and includes exclusive version of the April/Scarlett figure.

As for Exclusives for this line, we have the following:
• Amazon exclusive version of the Turtle-Fly copter with an exclusive Raph as Wild Bill. I assume this will be available tomorrow but I can't say that with 100% certainty

• SDCC exclusive version of Snake-Eyes/Leo with Timber/Rahzar. Beign a con-exclusive THIS WILL NOT be available tomorrow.

Our sponsor Entertainment Earth lists these to go live at Midnight PT tonite which is 3am ET. I don't know if other retailers will list them at the same time, earlier or later. So just keep an eye out at your favorite retailers.

These should also be available at our sponsor BigBadToyStore.com and I assume Amazon will be listing them sometime tomorrow as well.

This stated at NYTF, this will be a 1 and done line as Playmates Toys will be loosing the TMNT line at the end of this year, at which point Mattel will be taking over.

On the one hand, seeing these 2-packs I'm feeling a little burned pre-ordering everything individually elsewhere at a higher price. On the other, I can't trust Walmart to fulfill an order for a shoelace. Gonna have to stick with what I've got, even if I prefer the 2-packs since it looks like they come with all the same accessories.

Raphael makes frequent sarcastic quips and cynical remarks. Snake Eyes doesn't even speak. None of the Turtles are mute, but how exactly would that make more sense than Leonardo?

Because in the Archie comics he had a period of wearing an all-black outfit and he has a habit of going off doing his own thing, getting beaten up badly but still coming through. It's more an aesthetic choice with a nod to obscure media more than any real meshing of personality traits or anything else?

Raph as Snake Eyes would have made heaps more sense than Leo, especially when you tie it into his black costume in the Archie comics days. Raph as Roadblock doesn't make much sense to me, and that Amazon Dragonfly looks a heck of a lot more likeLieutenant Colonel Kilgore from Apocalypse Now than Wild Bill...

But yeah, if I see them at retail, it's going to be really hard not to grab Leo at least. That's a really nice design.
