BEYITHIRR UPDATE - we’ve been somewhat quiet with updates on our massive Beythirr dragon figure, not because there was nothing happening, but because there was nothing much to report beyond “the factory is working on the engineering for this massive action figure.”
Beyithirr is an incredible feat of action figure engineering. You can see the photos here from our factory which include the “exploded view” of the figure. These show the number of component pieces that have had to be engineered to bring Beythirr to life. We’ve been working closely with the factory to ensure that the sculptural detail of the figure is retained, that all joints work as intended, and that this monstrous figure will be able to support its own weight! Needless to say, it is the most ambitious figure we’ve ever created, but the good news is that the process is indeed moving forward and we have some genuine updates to share.
As of this post, the “tooling” process on Beyithirr has begun. This means that the steel molds are being created that will be used to produce the final figures! That is a HUGE milestone in this project!
In terms of fulfillment of preorders, we are being told that the FIRST shipments of Beythirr will be on the way to our warehouse near the end of this year. We say the “first” shipments because due to the size of this toy, it will take a few dozen containers spread across a few months to get everything in. Once these arrive, we expect a fairly steady stream of containers hitting our warehouse and dragons (as well as add-on sets) will be headed right back out to preorder customers!
For buyers who selected the “pick up at the warehouse” option, we will set some dates for those pickups next year. They will be at the end of the shipping process, which is what we said we would do for that option, but we will make sure to have a few dates to try to accommodate schedules.
