Mattel Officially Confirms Sun-Man For Masters Of The Universe

September 10, 2021
For those not familiar, Sun-Man is a character originally created back in 1985 by Olmec Toys which was a small New Jersey based toy company started by Yla Eason who wanted to create toys for her son and other Black, Hispanic and Native American children. As you can see in the image below of Sun-Man the design of the figure is very similar to that of Mattel's Masters of the Universe figures.

Back in July we had seen listings that that suggested that Mattel was going to be officially incorporating Sun-Man into the He-Man Universe with a new Masters of the Universe Origins figure.

Today The New York Times ran an article officially confirming this. The new figure will likely be on display and fully revealed along with other new figures tomorrow during Power-Con. The Mattel panel which is supposed to be streamed online is slated to begin at 1:30 PM ET tomorrow. We of course will bring you coverage for any new products revealed when it happens.

Where can you see the packaging?

In the vehicle, sets and Castle Grayskull... It's on the side of the boxes and front...?

If you see the art of the packaging, you will be able to see many new characters that we never saw in toy form so most probably those will be done...??

So what are they gonna do when they finish with the vintage repaints in origins? I know there was the rumored movie skeletor. Personally, I'm hoping to see them go into the 200x series. I need an original disco skeletor on my shelf.

Buzz-Off's eyes always weird me out a bit. Are they open? Is he squinting? I'm not quite sure.
