EternianRoyalty takes a look at the SDCC 2022 Masters of the Universe 40th Anniversary Two-Pack figures from Mattel!

This set was put up on the MattelCreations website last week where it sold out fairly quickly and was also sold to those who attended the convention.

The set cost was $80 and included 40th Anniversary Masterverse figues of He-Man and Skeletor. Each figure has around 30 points of articulation including Skeletor's jaw. The weapon accessories in this set are made of die-cast and this He-Man figure will have a flocked loin-cloth and the rims of his boots are also flocked.

He-Man includes the Power Sword, Battle Axe, and Shield. Skeletor gets a Power Sword and Havoc Staff. Each figure also comes with an extra pair of hands. The set also includes re-prints of the characters original mini-comics and a decoder type ring that opens to reveal the 40th Anniversary logo.

While the 40th Anniversary He-Man is getting a general release it won't have the die-cast weapons or flocking on the outfit. Right now this is the only way to get the 40th Anniversary Skeletor. It's still not clear whether there will be a general release of him down the road.

The set also comes in special SDCC deluxe like packaging. The outer box is made to look like the Grayskull drawbridge.

The SDCC Exclusive Mattel Hulk Hogan & Zeus No Holds Barred Ultimate Edition Action Figure Set is now IN STOCK on WWEshop.com!

Edit: NOW SOLD OUT

I was at SDCC and after 2 days of trying to get in the Mattel line and failing I finally just ordered them online Friday morning and got everything I wanted except for the WWE set and Knight Rider (both of which sold out while I sat in the queue). Managed to get the WWE set later that day at the Mattel booth (for some reason that was one of the last things to sell out each day despite being one of the first things to sell out online). And luckily I have a friend at Mattel who will hook me up with a KITT. So it all worked out but its yet another example of how these SDCC exclusives have become easier to get if you arent at SDCC than if you are actually there.

Check eBay and all the scalpers and their credit card bots that hit Mattel and grabbed all the MOTU 2-Packs... What else is new?

When is the camo khan supposed to become available?

WebbedSpider - 2022-07-22 @ 4:45 pm

Mattel is a joke. I made it through the checkout phase to buy the MOTU 40th Anniversary 2-pack, put in my cc info, clicked buy only for it to tell me if was now sold out. What is the point of waiting in line and sending you to checkout if it doesn't reserve your stuff for 30 seconds? I've tried this too many times and I'm done.

So I got on and order the no hold bard set. I got a time wait page. It clicked down to zero then went back to 9 minutes. Then it went to a page that said enable your cookies to continue. My cookies are enabled. I can't imagine trying to buy from mattel creations again.

A bunch up on Ebay of No Holds Barred sets for $150+...Mattel just sucks man

Jace976 - 2022-07-22 @ 4:15 pm

Man the MotU 2-packs sold out fast. They lasted around 10-ish minutes.

Unfortunately I'm seeing other reports that indicate that's a mistake and it's $80.

Yep it's been corrected on their site now also.
