Shown below is the latest Masters of the Universe Cartoon Collection collector poster from Mattel. The main focus of the poster is the new 200x line and for those we have already seen official images for everything except for the wave 2 Deluxe Ram Man. In this poster we also see two new Sketch Book Series figures with Mark Taylor He-Man and Mark Taylor Man-E-Faces.

Series 1 of the 200x stuff which includes Stratos, Tri-Klops, He-Man and Deluxe Beast Man are available now for pre-order at places like our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com and Entertainment Earth.

Wave 2 will include Moss Man, Man-at-Arms, Skeletor and Deluxe Ram Man. Wave 3 should see Zodak, Evil Lyn, Prince Adam and Deluxe Roboto. We saw Roboto at SDCC but no official images have been released yet.

I'm glad they decided in 1982 not to give He-Man a helmet. Much more iconic without it. He-Man's original head might just be the finest sculpt in toy history, IMHO.

The Maltese Cross emblem was such a great, enigmatic design element on the original toy, and one that Mattel should always stick with. The giant "H" modern versions replace it with should stand for "Hoary."

Happy for the Mark Taylor tributes, but will have to see these face sculpts in person before purchasing one. The pictures are not consistent.

Shortly before his death, Taylor was part of the Formo Toys team, in their initial Lords of Power line, featuring a helmeted barbarian in the Mark Taylor style. Then Mattel sued and they had to rebrand to Legends of Dragonore. Now that the man died, they honor him by name.

Sad Mattel could not have done this in his lifetime. Hope his estate is getting some royalties.

I guess the Filmation line is kind of dead. I was really hoping to get Glimmer and Entrapta.

I'm also waiting to see the release of those She-Ra characters since I don't have their Classics versions..???

With this new Queen Marlena, I guess it's not entirely dead. I'm not a huge fan of the Filmation line, but I like when they have characters who didn't have toys before. And it'd be a nice way to get more She-Ra characters.

And Mermista and Castaspella. And so many others. Maybe we can still get a few through Mattel Creations.

Hope to get them in Masterverse, as well.

Any word on the future of the Filmation figures? They're calling these Cartoon Collection same as Filmation. Are we still going to get Filmation waves interspersed with 200x, or should we just expect the occasional figure like with Origins going forward?

You ask a lot of questions, Mr. Kent...?
