i think you need to chill out, Scareglow. Noone said Origins was getting canceled for cripe sake

If that's the only time Mattel wants people thinking and talking about MOTU product, then it's going to be a long year for He-Man toy fans. Imagine if Classified had paused to put out its one wave of Snake Eyes figures and then had to scramble to rebuild itself when the movie didn't live up to expectations. That would have ended Classified before the line even got going.
Pausing Masterverse and Origins to focus only on movie characters is a really weird decision. Even with all the Disney pressure, Hasbro has never focused solely on recent media release in its lines (and look at Transformers, which is putting out tons of '86 movie stuff while still supporting its less than successful recent media stuff).
I just meant in relation to the crossovers. Having more MOTU x Thundercats and MOTU x Turtles and MOTU x Transformers when core MOTU is being promoted at mass media for the first time in years just makes sense to me, especially when some of those crossovers have produced pretty weak offerings like the MOTU x Transformers. Masterverse being rebranded as Chronicles would make sense to me, given how mixed that's been received as a line anyway - I don't think there are very many hardcore Masterverse fans so much as there are fans of the themes within it like New Eternia or MOTU '87. If they want to put New Eternia figures into the Chronicles line, they can since that line isn't branded as solely movie-related - they have flexibility built in there.

I almost regret ever getting into Masterverse - the first waves were terrible and the sculpts were always weak. But I know the movie line won't go as deep. But in the end I think I'd rather have quality vs quantity. Regardless of if the movie is good - hope the revamped figures do well

For those who have been wondering what the fate of Mattel's Masters Of The Universe Origins line with the coming of the new Chronicles and Kids Core line, well wonder know more. Despite not having any new products to show this weekend at Toy Fair, Mattel has said in an interview with Pixel-Dan that the line would continue on along with the other stuff. As we reported before, Masterverse will be paused at least for now as will any of the mash-up lines. Yeah, I'll definitely get Battle Cat. The rest are still up in the air, but they do look pretty awesome! Except Evil Lyn... she looks scared and weird...

Dangit. I was hoping Pixel Dan's video would solve the scale question. They still look pretty good, but it's shame they won't fit with Mastervese/MOTUC.
