I do think that there's still life in the Origins line - do *all* the 80's movie characters (not just the originally released trio) in the Origins form factor, do more of the '26 movie characters the same way... MOTU *owns* that style, so use it to the utmost. Obscure characters are fun - I love discovering a new character because they have a toy that looks cool - but they can't be the totality of a line. I do think they have some nice new concepts that can be explored - Faker Teela opens an interesting door, for instance.

Oh from what we all know and as Mattel seems to be insisting on, is that Origins are still going to be going strong, I'm not worried about that, I just worry that the recent choices in regard to character selections hasn't panned out well for them, with this being the case study.

But let's hope this kicked them a bit to get back to the stuff that people really want, Hey sure I'm so totally all about the weirdos, the unknowns, the figures that never happened in the 80s, the newer ones, I want it, I just don't think we should have been riding on the wacky train all day you know, and there have been a lot of head-scratchers lately...and well they are going on sale.

OMG yer telling me, as probably the most dedicated MOTUO collector here, I'm sure of it LOL since I buy every single figure that is a new character, I can't say I've felt super delighted to pay way too much for these Mattelcreations figures, usually like 50 bucks a figure in Canada, PLUS i pay Mattel 15 bucks a year to be a dumb member (what's that doing for me now?), and even then Tauraton which was the most recent took 70 bucks out of my wizened purse.

So now to be like hey...we just dumped these out a Ross's is a real smack, I mean I frequent Mattelcreations website, looking for deals and what not on things I might be missing, and I Can tell you now, NONE of these figures as of lately have been selling, And you know why, because Mattel just keeps on insisting on releasing Nobodies that people have either no idea who they are or that people have zero attachement to, like the string of rando who figures for Origins have been staggering. If they just had stuck to releasing figures people wanted and stop acting like they are clueless then this might not be the current outcome, And now with them soft rebooting the line, it's not helping them at all.

I would love them to have re-evaluated all of this and insisted on getting back on track, Don't re-release the classic characters again with BAFs, release the new figures..the BAFs can be deluxes, give us Two-Bad and the rest of the final figures for the original line-up, give us the 86 movie figures...then give us the wanted chracters like Draego Man, Lord Dactus, Shokoti....the other She-Ra characters they so sorely over-look.

Uhm... should we be worried that Mattel Creations is dumping a lot of MOTU stuff out to other retailers? I'm not complaining about being able to get them, but exclusives *and* at a discount? Doesn't smell right to me...
