New Street Fighter And Ghostbusters Listings From Jada Toys

January 29, 2024
The other week some digital render images popped up online for what appeared to be some new Jada Toys Street Fighter figures. These images were of variant figures already released in the line with additional accessories. It was not known how legit these images were which is why we didn't report on them initially. Now however the overseas retailer Dragon's Chest has put up listings for the three figures that were featured in the images. While none of this has been officially confirmed by Jada Toys, Dragon's Chest has a demonstrated history of being accurate with these type of listings. They however do not feature the images that had popped up the other week. We are making an assumption that if the listings are legit, the digital renders have some basis in truth as well, however that is just an assumption on our part and again has not been officially confirmed by Jada Toys. Note there is a listing for a second Chun-Li figure and the other listings say "Next Level", which could be an indication that those 3 figures at least here in the US they will be Jada Store exclusives. The second Chun-Li might be a general release or another store's exclusive without the additional accessories, but again that is just speculation at this point.

- Chun Li 2nd (Next Level)
- Fei Long 2nd (Next Level)
- Violent Ken (Next Level)
- Red Chun Li Player 2

Also listed for Ghostbusters fans is some kind of 6" Stay Puft Marshmallow Man with Nano Ecto-1 Vehicle. It's unknown if the figure will just be a diecast static one or some kind of articulated figure to go with their mini-diecast Ecto-1 vehicle.

I don't mind the 2nd Player/Alternate Colours, since they usually do appear in the game. Can make it different from any of the other versions of the same character you may have already. Even more so if it's from another company.

As an Example: Say you have a 6" Chun-Li in her normal Blue and Yellow colours already from a different company(Like say Playmates Toys from their TMNT X Street Fighter line), and you've passed on the Jada Toys version because of it. This Pink version is different, as it could give you a reason to get a Jada Toys Chun-Li, since she is now in a different colour than her standard colours.

Aw man boooring, at least for me, don't have any interest in 2nd player colors, just can we get the pre-orders for some new figures, I get the necessity to do other skins, it lets them re-use molds get more money cheaper, but too many since this line started and we barely have any figures yet.

Those extra heads and hands look great. Now that's a smart way to get people to buy player 2 colors.

Looking forward to Pink Chun Li. Might have to grab that Ken too for the barrel effect alone...
