The only thing I can say is if you haven't bought a figure yet don't procrastinate.Just buy a few to help possibly move freight so more maybe newer items in the stockrooms can com eout
I myself have to pickup Mutt, some warriors and those skeleton faced guys
Buy more German and Russians to make armies
WE not Hasbro have to make this move or this line WILL go the way of the Dinosaurs
I'm not coming down on your idea at all...but how the HELL would you do a Build a figure with this line? What would you be able to build..the elephant from Temple of Doom?
HASBRO QUESTION:
Will we ever see a Rene Belloq in white business suit--I think a 2-pack featuring Rene Belloq in white suit and hat with machine gun Vs. Indiana Jones dressed as German Soldier with bazooka would be great.
You said Marcus would not likely be a figure that would make it, what about a Colonel Dietrich from Raiders or Grail Warrior with machine gun perhaps from Last Crusade so fans can re-enact the battle scene at the end of TLC.
Will there be any playsets other than from KOTCS? I would like a playset that represents the final scene where the Ark of the Covenant is opened up..the island landscape scene would be great with stand up lights and extra melted/burnt/electrocuted/hole in the stomach German Soldiers.
Also last but not least even if for some horrible reason there is no demand for this line to continue, is it possible for Hasbro to still continue making them by agreeing to take a loss and pay out of their own pocket in order to help out those of us who do want to keep seeing and buying Indiana Jones action figures?......well....I uhh...I pretty much know the answer to that question so...never mind
This line is dead. Hasbro will never admit they are wrong. They keep saying how kids drive the line. What BS. I doubt it is kids that make pre orders of upcoming waves sell out months ahead of release.
Screw the kids. Give the people who buy the figures what they want - Belloq (white suit), Dietrich, Brody, Donovan, Ark ghost, TLC Sallah, Ox, Mac, Old Marion, Alien and Tux Indy.
i want to know if there's plans to release a "Marion Ravenwood" middle age figure, just like the same of indy in KOTCS
there's plans to "build a figure" line, based on indiana jones franchise??
ok, no plans of make "Young Indiana Jones chronicles" figures... is there plans to release one "mystery of the blues" indiana jones figure???
the deluxe line it's just awesome... got plans to release a young indy, with "indiana" the dog an the new found fedora hat??
The fact that they aren't going to put out a Young Indiana Jones from the TV show is a huge disappointment. They made too many dumb Mutt and Warrior figures and not enough of the beloved characters that would have brought this line into profitable it seems. Why do they over do some of the lame characters and skimp on the great ones like Dr. Jones Senior.
Yeah, this doesn't sound good at all.
A pretty weak showing at SDCC, negative answers in these polls, there really appears to be a lack of direction for this line.
Maybe I'm wrong, and I hope I am, as I'd love to see this line continue. I can still think of plenty of figures and small vehicles/ set pieces that I'd love to have, and I can think of a few places this line could go: Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, the comics, the books, video games.
I just fear Hasbro underestimated Indy's popularity or had unrealistic expectations for the success of this line. My guess is the latter since we seemed to see more IJ merchandise in stores when the movie hit than for Iron Man, the Hulk, and probably about the same as for Batman.
If Hasbro would market this line in smaller quantities like they are doing with the G.I. Joe 25th anniv collection (which could be where they are going) they might have a collector's hit, at least. Maybe once the first two waves trickle out of stores, we'll start seeing smaller, more collector friendly waves to keep the brand alive.
Heck, what might even work would be to sneak an IJ figure into random Star Waves.
I'd grab more if I ever see the Last Crusade line
Yep, this line is definitely "on the bubble." I remember for certain they were talking about possibly making "Young Indiana Jones" figures even before this line debuted. Now? "We don't think we'll get to them."
Grab 'em while you can folks, this line is in the downward spiral.
