“Space - the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise. Its five year mission: to explore strange new worlds. To seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no one has gone.™”
The original series, Star Trek is a standalone sci-fi drama series that originally was broadcasted in 1966, which continues to spin new tales to this day. This Kotobukiya series that drew the attention of many with its first character, the Vulcan officer, reimagined by illustrator Shunya Yamashita, is coming out with a limited edition version!
From the illustrator Shunya Yamashita, the essential member of operations aboard the ship that oversees the physical, mental, and overall health and hygiene of the crew, the Medical Officer, has been brought to life. This piece is a redesign of the Vulcan Science Officer.
Newly sculpted parts include an expressive smiling face that is more reminiscent of the emotionally expressive Humans. The brightly colored hair that incorporates the classic beehive hairstyle that was popular at the time of the original series was crafted by sculptor ke (comaccow) and has a retro, sci-fi aesthetic that still looks contemporary today. In her hand, she holds a medical scanner reminiscent of the one Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy so often used in diagnostics.
Her base features the surface of a planet from the series, made up of rock and sand, and allows fans to enjoy being a member of the landing party with this figure.

But the last gold (Kirk) release came right when the tarrifs hit, and it messed up my import order and I missed her =( And since I don't trust knock offs and high prices, I haven't gone back to collecting this line. But if this medic is being released domestically, I guess I can get excited again.
I recommend the Kirk figure if you can find it for real. I thought the Vulcan officer was going to be the highlight of this line, but she's actually my third favorite, which shows just how well they knocked the command and medical girls out of the park. These are just fun, and nice TOS figures.

This has been out for quite some time (I have it and love it -- it's the best of this series). I guess I didn't realize it never formally made it to US markets.
By the way, if you buy this from someone other than EE or a reputable company, be aware that these have been heavily knocked off and the KOs look awful. Don't be fooled by really low prices.
