2025 Target Summer Geek-Out Event Kicks...er Kicked Off Yesterday

Target has kicked off their 2025 Summer Geek-Out event. Yesterday saw quite a bit of confusion when Target put up pre-orders for a number of different Hasbro brands which included Marvel Legends, Transformers and Star Wars Vintage Collection.

None of these were advertised as being part of the Target Geek-Out event and in fact Target didn't even announce them as part of the Geek-Out event until after the pre-orders went live yesterday at 9am ET.

We knew the event was coming soon because it was revealed in the last McFarlane Toys Show that it would be launching at the latest on Friday June 13. Since we now know that technically it started yesterday (June 6), we are going to assume the pre-order drops for next week will be McFarlane stuff.

If that assumption is correct then next Friday we can expect to see the new 6" Batman: The Animated Series Build-A-Wave which will feature Batman,Killer Croc, Ra's Al Ghul and Gray Ghost. The BAF will be Jonah Hex. The DC Collector Edition Kite-Man should also go up during this event. See images in the above link for the McFarlane Toys Show.

Their are several other McFarlane Target exclusive that are currently listed on Target's website but have not yet been made available. Those include the Superman Movie Superman Battle Damaged Figure, the New 52 Superman figure, Superman (Strange Lives of Superman) figure and the Cyborg Superman (Revenge of the Green Lanterns) figure. All of these have already started hitting physical stores so it's unknown if they will be made available for purchase during the Geek-Out event.

It's not known at this time what other companies will be participating in the Geek-Out event or if we will even see another day dedicated to Hasbro during the event. Drops will happen every Friday at 9am ET, with the last drop for the event taking place on July 18.

When we get a confirmation about next weeks drops, we will be sure to update you here.

I don't get it... the last Batman TAS wave was put up on sale on McFarlane's own store. I was so happy these won't be restricted to Target anymore, and now... same thing as before, only available in the USA... This is incredibly annoying for a collector.

Missed the Kite-Man pre-order before it sold out. Two weeks in a row that Target has screwed me. Missed Psylocke/Thanos last week and Kite-Man this week. I freaking hate store exclusives. I also know that my local store will never stock these. I'll probably skip Psylocke/Thanos but I'll have to pay double retail for Kite-Man on ebay at some point just like I did for Geo-Force and Warbird. He's a must have for me.

I still do not get what good is to a company to artificially restrict how many people in how many countries can buy their products... wouldn't it make them MORE money to sell this on their own store page, worldwide???

Hate that for you Reno, he was up for about 20 to 30 min then sold out he was up longer than the animated figures I think. I was gonna get a second one for a friend, but it had already sold out. These last few Target figures have been tough if your not on as soon as it drops. They always seem to sell out within 30 minutes minimum. Maybe he will be available on release date my friend.

Wow, those went quick. Glad I got in right away. And thanks for the Kite Man link. Couldn't find it via search on the Target web site. I'm glad I came here when I couldn't find it.
