G.I. Joe Classified Reveal Coming With Larry Hama Next Wednesday (2/11)!?!

Looks like we will be getting a new G.I. Joe Classified reveal next Wednesday (2/11) via Midtown Comics who will be holding live-steam with G.I. Joe scribe Larry Hama on their WhatNot page at 4:30 PM ET.

Now the reveal might actually happen before that as I have seen indications we will be getting 1 new G.I. Joe Classified pre-order that same day only at 1pm ET. It's a pre-order that should be available at all the usual fan-channel retailers like our sponsors BigBadToyStore.com, Entertainment Earth and Nerdzoic.

I have no idea what the pre-order will be but based on this news from Midtown Comics it does have me wondering if maybe we will see some kind of Larry Hama Tribute figure announced. Or perhaps a new character appearing in G.I. Joe #325. Maybe a new Cowboy type character like Habsbro previously teased on February 1st??

Again that is all just total speculation on my part but when more details become available we will be sure to update you here.

I would bet on it being 54.99 or 49.99.

I'm hoping $50 tops, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it go to $55. Sigh...

If not more - don't forget the Cobra-La tax! Pythona was $47, Nemesis Enforcer was $45, so I'm guessing it'll be up that end as well...

Edit: I was wrong. Way wrong. And quite pleased to be wrong. 42.99 is a great deal.

Personally, I'm just glad that the Royal Guard has some extra options for display, even if it's something as subtle as a different head to be underneath a helmet. Love an army builder that gives some options - gives me a little bit more justification to buy multiples!

Aw love this, awesome to hear the stories! thanks for sharing.

Yeah in actuality my parents never bought me a single G.I. Joe, I wasn't allowed them, only ever got them for free from the friend I was talking about in the previous post, or I would get them as Birthday presents (because I asked people to get me them) Nobody could stop a birthday gift right?! , and my grandpa was cool enough he would buy me anything I asked for, I remember him buying me Dusty & Sandstorm, since I always always wanted a figure with a Animal, and it for some reason came with face paint...like as a special bonus and I made my grampa wear it for an entire day! what a coolio!

You're welcome ? ?. It's good to see that some of us have a lot in common on regards of the struggles we suffer to have the toys we wanted as kids.

Is one of those Royal Guards head sculpts the Cobra Commander noble Men expression? ??

You know what? I like this type of memories... I actually in 80 something was passing with my mom to a toy store (Closed) at that specific time but saw from their window the 3 pack of the Cobra-La and I was like oh wow, what's that... I only saw the card art part and at that time never knew about the movie. I saw the figures in the catalog that came with the Cobra Stilleto and I was thinking in getting them if I see them again... That time never came as a kid, because I only received figures for special occasions like getting good grades finishing the school year, birthdays and Christmas. At the end I bought the figures after 2007-2008.

I will buy tgat Royal Guard but not sure if I get two at once. ???

Oh I must have a Cobra-La Royal Guard, that was such a beloved figure for me as a kid, I still have it, in decent condition, I remember getting it as a gift from a friend, my parents hated G.I. Joe and wouldn't let me have any, they said it was violent and inappropriate for me, and I had to sneak to watch the show, until my mom found out they had morals at the end and then said I could watch it, But I had a rich spoiled friend who's parents literally bought them every single G.I. Joe figure and he would just give me all the figures secretly! (because he actually didn't care and had everything) this was one I remember very well him handing me, because he said pick a few you really like, the Cobra-La Guard one!

Given that the Royal Guard is already being shown in package, my guess is that it is a Pulse exclusive of some kind, rather than a convention exclusive (like SDCC -- there was no Pulsecon last year).

According to Chris at Full Force and the breakdown of retailer listings, the Cobra La Royal Guard should be a main line deluxe figure
