I don't think they were looking at "practical function" much past 1985. I mean most of the Joe, and nearly ever Cobra vehicle from 86 onward really stretched the imagination. We got the hydro sled and the recon sled and the stun. Remember the Buzz Boar or Pogo Battle Ball? How about the Coastal Defender? Then it just got weirder.

The Triple T isn't as weird as those but it's certainly an unusual vehicle from a practical standpoint.

That's kinda my thing, though - if it were *more* outlandish, it would make more sense in an odd way. Of course you need a giant buzzsaw vehicle or hopping attack vehicle, but just an abnormally large under armed semi-tanky sort of thing? The Triple T has always seemed kinda lackluster - either give it a real purpose or lean into the weirdness. Back in the day it was really just an excuse to be able to charge a higher price point to get a non-exclusive Sarge figure (and that worked on me just fine), but it would have been nice to take the opportunity to add a bit more function to it. Probably would have to be with removable parts so purists could have it as close to vintage as possible, but these things can be done.

Just a tease from what I've seen.

I like the canopy addition to update it a little and the new Sarge is okay, but I have the original release so I'm fine with that. The Triple T is a vehicle I've always struggled with the practical function of - it's not a troop carrier, it's not a major weapon's platform, it doesn't seem to provide particularly fast or specialist terrain travel and that's what's really causing me to pause on what's probably going to be a reasonably expensive vehicle...

I think this is going to be an Amazon and fan channel product. So BBTS, EE, etc alongside Amazon. I'm not 100% sure but it's what I've heard from various sources.

Basically it's function is for Sarge to drive into fights and pick up golf balls on the golf course. I hate the yellow canopy and that will be taken off and put in a bin to pretend it never existed.

So is this also an SDCC exclusive, or it's just a promo tease...I am kinda confused.

Listen up, maggots. It's snake stompin' season, and I'm here to announce the perfect addition to the G.I. Joe Classified Series ME, Sgt Slaughter and the Triple "T" vehicle. Together, we're smashing through Cobra's defenses on our way to sunny #SDCC to show off the latest and greatest action figure releases and give a little preview of what the GIJOE team has in store to fight Cobra. See you there!

I have to buy them. They look very cool man. I want ti see how awesome the sargento looks with that helmet ON man...?????

Lord_Scareglow - 2026-07-18 @ 6:32 pm

Triple T is pretty cool, I guess I mean all of the Vehicles mainly are, I just don't collect vechiles and have a strict policy never too, so it's always a moot point for me, Sad thing is this might be the best Sarge yet, I still don't have a actual classified Sarge, I bought the Valaverse figure before Hasbro ever announced one, and I stuck with it, but I constantly feel like I should swap it out.

So is this also an SDCC exclusive, or it's just a promo tease...I am kinda confused.

I wish they'd sell the vehicle and driver separately and drop the price a bit.

DiscoCougar - 2026-07-17 @ 11:05 pm

There's something too ... "pointy" ... looking about the Triple T here. It kinda looks like azamboni machine, or something. I dunno, I might be wrong.

Hard not to think back on the times when I had to settle for the Action Force and whatever I could get from Mattel that would pass for a decent Sarge. Now here I am complaining about how they keep releasing him.

It's hard to believe we had to settle for Action Force at one point, alone.
