Bif Bang Pow! has a slew of new "Retro" action figure on tap for 2012 including new figures based on the classic Battlestar Galactic and Bionic Man TV shows as well as new product for their Doctor Who line. These figures stand approximately 8" tall and come with fabric clothing and accessories like the classic figures from the 70's. Look for the following, all of which can be pre-ordered at Entertainment Earth.
Battlestar Galactica Cylon and Captain Apollo
Arguably the central character of Battlestar Galactica, Viper spacefighter pilot Apollo (as portrayed by actor Richard Hatch) heads up this 2-pack. Dressed in authentic BSG attire that includes pants, jacket, belt, and boots, Captain Apollo's accessories include a well-detailed pistol and removable helmet.
Commander Adama's son is joined by a fearsome Cylon Centurion, armed to the teeth (do they have teeth?) with both a rifle and a sword. Hyper-detailed in metallic-silver and black, this 8-inch figure is one to keep your eye on!
Battlestar Galactica Lt. Starbuck and Android Sister
Featured here is Viper-pilot hotshot and notorious gambler and womanizer, Lieutenant Starbuck of the Colonial Service, as played by actor Dirk Benedict. Clad in authentic pants, jacket, belt, and boots, Captain Apollo's best friend brings his excellently detailed removable helmet and pistol accessories to the party.
Be careful when someone wants you to meet their sister. Standing 8-inches tall in her shiny dress, beads, and white pumps, this Android Sister Action Figure sports enough eyes and mouths for two people! Care to ask this Tucana alien out for dinner and a nice romantic movie?
Col. Steve Austin is brought back to life once more in this Steve Austin Action Figure that presents the likeness of actor and pop-culture icon Lee Majors in a bright-red outfit and shoes, complete with a rubber "lead pipe" that's flexible enough to be bent. The figure can hold it, too. This unbelievable figure even has "bionic" details, plus a sound-effect accessory.
Standing an impressive 9 5/8-inches tall, the Bigfoot Action Figure spotlights the hulking character featured in multiple episodes of The Six Million Dollar Man. The intimidating protector of aliens from outer space includes silver-metallic eyes, a fur-like suit, and a sound effect.
