2010 SDCC Thursday Toy Panels Revealed - LEGO, Transformers, G.I.Joe, WWE

The panels for the first full day of the San Diego Comic-Con (7/22) has been posted on the official comic-con website. For action figure enthusiasts here is what is in store for you.

11:30-12:30 Mattel and WWE: The Ultimate Tag Team— Take a peek behind the curtain of two of the world's top entertainment companies to learn how WWE's exciting storylines come together and get translated into Mattel's all-new action figure toy line! Get a sneak peek at upcoming products and be the first to hear exciting announcements for the 2011 line. Don't miss out! Join WWE Superstars The Miz and Eve, WWE SVP of creative writing Brian Gewirtz, WWE lead writer Ed Koskey, WWE VP of global licensing Florence DiGiorgio, Mattel toy designers Bill Miekina and Derek Handy, and Mattel WWE brand manager Enrique Ruvalcaba for an action-packed Q&A! 1:00-2:00 Hasbro GI Joe— The Hasbro design and marketing teams and representatives from Hasbro Studios -- including Derryl DePriest (Hasbro Marketing), John Warden (Hasbro Design), Aaron Archer (Hasbro Brand IP Development), Jeff Kline (executive producer, G.I. Joe Renegades), and Michael Vogel (Hasbro Studios) -- discuss new initiatives for Hasbro's G.I. Joe brand. Fans won't want to miss details from the showrunner and members of the creative team for the new G.I. Joe Renegades animated television series coming to The Hub network this fall! 2:00-3:00 Hasbro Transformers— Aaron Archer (Hasbro Brand IP Development), Matt Proulx (Hasbro Marketing), and Hasbro Design's Michelino Paolino, Brian Wilk, Eric Siebenaler, Alan Roach, and Miyaki Tomoya are joined by Activision's Matt Tieger to talk about what's new with Transformers. The design and marketing teams will present all the latest toys from the new line as well as details about the Transformers: War for Cybertron video game from Activision. Also includes Q&A time. 2:30-3:30 BrickJournal: Looking at the LEGO Community— In the past decade, a community of adult LEGO builders has sprung up and created models, websites, and even conventions. The staff of BrickJournal, the magazine for LEGO enthusiasts of all ages, invites you to take a look at the community (and what it builds) at this presentation, with Brandon Griffith (top LEGO builder), Jonathan Bender (author of LEGO: A Love Story), Nathan Sawaya (LEGO certified professional builder), and Jim Foulds (community operations manager for the LEGO Group). The panel is moderated by BrickJournal editor Joe Meno. There will be a Q&A afterward, so if you have any questions about the community, events, builders, or even the LEGO company, this is the place to be! Room 7AB

4:30-5:30 Transformers Prime— The talent behind Transformers Prime -- executive producers Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman, and Jeff Kline -- the new animated series from Hasbro Studios, showcase exclusive footage and character reveals followed by a Q&A session. This original series will premiere in 2010 on the new television network The Hub. Room 7AB

6:30-7:30 Shocker Toys: From Print to Plastic— Geoff Beckett and Lance Buttiglieri discuss the latest plans from Shocker Toys, plus how they go from comic to 2D design to 3D print-out to sample injection to the final Indie Spotlight figures. New series and licenses will be announced and future toylines will be laid out along with a Q&A and prize giveaways. Joining them will be John Vegher from 3D Modeler, Tony Robles from Tonyz Customs, and a few comic creators to talk about going from print to plastic with their characters. Room 24ABC
