This past weekend at New York Comic Con Mattel debuted two more of the figures in their Masters of the Universe Classic figures. Horde Prime and Snake Man-At-Arms. Mattel also announced they would be keeping the primary head sculpt for the Horde Prime figure under wraps until it actually ships to people's mailboxes in June and that Man-At-Arms would have a alternate 200x style sculpted head.
Even though Mattel is keeping the Horde Prime head a mystery, it would seem we were given some clues as to what it might possibly look like during the weekend. The first clue was the image of the helmet without the head in it (the helmet is removable) shown during the Mattel panel. You will notice in that image that the ears are obviously part of the head and not the helmet. The ears themselves would appear to look very much like Hordak's. In fact they look very similar to the larger ears used on the MOTU 200x Staticon put out by NECA a few years ago which was also sculpted by the Four Horsemen.
The other clue is, in the close-up shots of the actual figure that was on display at the Mattel booth, you will see what appears to be features on the face under the mask very similar to Hordak's. These clues lead us to the conclusion that the Horde Prime head will look very similar to the 200x Hordak one, only painted red and black as opposed to white and black. Only time will tell though but tell us what you think? Shown below is a image compiling all the clues we have gathered. The image includes a look at the head from the 200x Hordak.
Also just for fun we put together a image with the Snake Man-At-Arms figure next to the original 200x Man-At-Arms figure. Mattel announced the new figure would come with an alternate 200x style head sculpt but didn't actually show it off at the convention.
