It's Wednesday and you know what that means: ToyFarce review!

This week, we're having a look at some of the figures from the Mythic Legions: Rising Sons wave from the Four Horsemen Studios! That wave had a lot of great figures, but most importantly, it had a freaking BEAR! I picked the new and improved version of Attlus the Conqueror and Skapular the Cryptbreaker, along with the female warrior Névé and the beautifully japanese demon-inspired Yoshanai Kari, and of course, Bodvar, the mighty bear!

Attlus the Conqueror, the leader of the House of the Noble Bear, was a figure from the very first wave of Mythic Legions figures, from the original Kickstarter campaign, and that new and improved "2.0" version of Attlus is amazing. He comes with a gladiator helmet, 5 pairs of hands, a battle axe, a sword with sheath, a dagger with sheath, a long sword and some soft goods bear pelt to put over his shoulder. It's a great looking barbarian figure, with tons of details. I'd say his head looks maybe a bit too stylized/cartoonish compared to other Mythic Legions figures but he still looks pretty darn great.

Névé, the Frost Elf warrior, is another great figure. She comes with a knight helmet, 3 pairs of hands, a viking sword, an axe, a shield with arrows that can be attached to it, and some trinket to attach to her belt (a compass?). The details on both Attlus and Névé's hair are great by the way, with lots of braids in their hair. Névé definitely looks like a fierce warrior.

Bodvar the Bear comes with 2 heads (normal and roaring), 2 sets of front paws, and a neck piece that allows him to look forward if you want to have him standing up on his back paws. The saddle is removable and you get a magnificent bear figure. The articulations on him were a bit stiff on mine, but he can still move nicely after heating him up. I've seen so many fun pictures of Bodvar since his release, it seems he inspired a lot of collectors. With the saddle, he's a mighty mount for Attlus, and they really look great together. I'm so happy to have this bear.

Yoshanai Kari is a gorgeous figure, who looks like a Japanese Oni, the ogre-like yōkai, demons or trolls of Japanese folklore. His armor looks fantastic and has a ton of details. He comes with 2 heads (one with helmet and one without), 5 pairs of hands, 2 swords and scabbards, a spear (or Guandao). His horned demon head looks amazing. The soft goods enhances the armor. This one had popped in my eye since the reveal, and I'm blown away by the final result. The shoulder pauldrons do tend to hinder the articulations of the arms, sadly.

Finally, Skapular the Cryptbreaker, the leader of the band of mercenaries known as the Sons of the Red Star, was also part of the first Mythic Legions wave, and this 2.0 version is an amazing skeleton figure. He comes with his alter ego "Emir Casparr", with a red tunic. He comes with 2 face plates (skeleton for Skapular, mask for Casparr), 6 pairs of hands (gloved and armored), a scimitar with scabbard, a dagger with sheath, a spear, a shield, 2 throwing daggers that attach on his belt, a soft goods tunic and belts for the Emir Casparr look, neck parts for the different looks, a blowgun, and potions bottles, cannisters, pouches and other trinkets to attach to his belt. As Emir Casparr, it has a nice, mysterious look. As Skapular, there's a ton of details and intricacies all over him. He looks fantastic.

I love this wave. It's one of my favorites so far.
