NieR: Automata Bring Arts 9S (YoRHa No.9 Type S) From Square Enix

by Jay Cochran
September 20, 2018
Straight out of NieR: Automata, the game that brought to life the battle between the Androids and the Machines, YoRHa No.9 Type S (commonly known as 9S) is now available as a Bring Arts figure.

9S’s trademark hacking effect is made with a transparent material to recreate the look and feel in the game. The figure also comes with a variety of additional parts, including his post-self-destruct lower body, his black box, an articulated Pod, equitable Cruel Oath and Cruel Blood Oath, and an interchangeable 2B arm.

He also comes with three swappable faces—one with a blindfold, one with blue eyes, and one with red eyes for when he’s gone berserk—allowing you to recreate various scenes within the game. You can pre-order this now at BigBadToyStore.com.

Looks cool, though I'm not familiar with this character or the line, I'm sure real fans will like this.

My first impression was that this was indeed something of a niche property... But, I literally see cosplay of iteverywhere. So, it must have one hell of a following!

Dying to play this game, I have such a big backlog of titles that I never finish... damn you Overwatch!

Love the designs.

I find myself curious as to why the characters in this game / franchise are all always blindfolded... Im assuming, since this figure features red eyes on one of the alternate heads, that maybe it has something to do with that powers that emanate from their eyes?

I haven't played this game but these figures are calling out to me. I just don't know if I can fit the purchases in a already crammed schedule of releases.

What other series could utilize character's clothes get blown off when they take damage?? ?

Kantai Collection kinda has that motif.

The accessories look cool but I just can't make room for this one.

Pretty sure it has something to do with the fact that the character's clothes get blown off when they take damage that and a pretty funny butt meme.

I suppose that does make for a winning combination, lol.

Love the look of the weapon's storage.

Im fairly intrigued by everything I see from this line/franchise. I definitely dig the overall aesthetics. But, Ive so little actual familiarity with any of it, that I dont quite get why its so popular.
