May 1, 2016
David Silva who has a long history working as a sculptor in the toy industry at companies such as McFarlane Toys, Hasbro and currently at NECA has branched out on his own with a little side project called Beasts of the Mesozoic.

These will be a line of 1/6th scale scientifically accurate dinosaur action figures. David will be starting off with a series of Raptors consisting of mid-sized dromaeosaurs and related species. The first three in the series will be an Velociraptor, Atrociraptor, and Tsaagan.

Each will have 26 points of articulation, realistic detail and movement based on the most recent scientific discoveries, and will feature a base with posing rod as well as alternate running toes. Each figure will come in packaging featuring unique artwork by the amazingly talented Jonathan Kuo.

To get this line off the ground though, David needs your support via KICKSTARTER. His goal is to reach a pledged amount of $125,000 by May 27. At the time of this article was posted, he has received pledged amounts totaling over $76,000 already.
