Netflix has released a brand-new teaser trailer for "Nightflyers," the forthcoming sci-fi horror series based on the 1980 novella by "Game of Thrones" author George R.R. Martin, who serves as an executive producer along with TV writer-producer Daniel Cerone (Dexter, Constantine) and current showrunner Jeff Buhler (The Midnight Meat Train).

"Nightflyers" is slated for ten episodes and will be released later in the fall of 2018. The episodes will air on the SYFY channel in the U.S., but will stream internationally on Netflix.

Based on George R. R. Martin's novella and set in the future on the eve of Earth's destruction, a crew of explorers journey on the most advanced ship in the galaxy, The Nightflyer, to intercept an alien spacecraft. One that might just hold the key to their survival.

Nightflyers stars Gretchen Mol, Jodie Turner-Smith, Brian F. O'Byrne, Eoin Macken, David Ajala, Maya Eshet, Sam Strike, Angus Sampson
