Netflix has just released the official full-length trailer for "The Witcher," which stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, a traveling monster slayer for hire.
The series is an eight-episode adaptation of the global best-selling fantasy novel series by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, which has also been developed into a popular fantasy action role-playing video game.
Based on the best-selling fantasy series, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.
The Witcher stars Henry Cavill, Freya Allan, Jodhi May, Bjorn Hlynur Haraldsson, Adam Levy, Anya Chalotra, MyAnna Buring, Mimi Ndiweni, Therica Wilson-Read, Millie Brady
Witcher 2 had many many many issues and was very hard to get into for alot of people. I would highly suggest playing Witcher 3 if you ever have a urge to play again. Its much easier to get into and they fixed alot of issues that plagued the first 2 games.
Yeah, I got caught up in the hype of the 3rd one and not having a next generation console at the time went ahead and bought the second one for the X-box 360 but the game didn't grab me. I have been meaning to try the 3rd since I haven't heard anything but praise for it.
Doesn't look bad but it doesn't look great, either. I'm not familiar with the books and I tried playing The Witcher 2 twice and I couldn't get into it. Still I might give this a shot if I have nothing better to do.

Keep in mind that the series will be based on the books and not the games.
Yeah Im familiar, but the games from what I heard were close to the books. Either way both share similarities to eachother which gets me pretty excited.
I played the games and Im pretty excited for this. I wasnt ecstatic that Cavill was casted as Geralt but the more and more ive seen of this the more i think hes pretty perfect for it. The only thing i dont like is hes definitely too massive compared to Geralt but overall looks to be amazing.
