Comparing this to war for Cybertron isn't fair. WFC would've had better voice acting as a fan dub. Actually my big issue wasnt with the female representation or the story in general.
I didn't buy the .... Pg13 approach for getting a character to evolve. Sorry trying to not post spoilers until it's been out a few weeks at least. The art is beautiful and I loved the battles in this. And I actually quite liked the story though I preferred the original take on parentage. Just had one part I found out of character for someone.

Nothing is going to be 100% perfect but I thought Smith did a pretty good job of bringing all the various mythos of MOTU together with this story and incorporating things like Pre-Eternia and Point Dredd. Yeah he didn't give us a story where He-Man single handily saved the day by himself like we saw in the 80's, and he in fact elevated many of the female characters to positions of power and authority, which I don't see that as a bad thing. Like I said before overall enjoyed it quit a bit. I thought this update was a lot better than the recent Transformers one which I thought started our decently but fell flat in parts 2 and 3.

Yep thought it was great. Hoping we get a third season.
The second part of the series came out today and it appears Netflix doesn't have much faith in the series. They only released one poster, one trailer and no preview images.
Did anyone bother to check out the second half yet?
Wish we'd get some good stills of trap jaw already
These new episodes looks promising. I don't have the pure hatred for the first half that some do, but I did feel the writing suffered a lot from forcing things to fall into place to get the overall story they wanted. A lot of the characters' actions just made no sense to me.
Getting major Stranger vibes (from Destiny) with Andra. Needless to say she looks amazing and I can't wait to add her to the collection.
