Well, that went off the rails pretty quickly. Rather than clean up the thread I'm leaving all posts here.
My reason for instantly disliking this is because it's based on The Silmarillion, which I didn't like at all. Really wish I never bothered reading it actually.

Amazon has released a quick teaser via Instagram revealing that Amazon Studios will drop a teaser trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power during Super Bowl LVI, this Sunday, February 13th. The series doesn't drop until September 2nd on Prime Video.
