Director Chris Miller To Helm 'Smurfs' Animated Feature Musical

Deadline is reporting that Paramount and Nickelodeon will be making an announcement during the Annecy International Animation Film Festival that Chris Miller will be directing Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Animation’s untitled Smurfs musical movie.

The movie is set for a December 20th, 2024 release and is being written by South Park's Pam for LAFIG Belgium and IMPS production.

Paramount has numerous animated projects in the works including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Animated (Aug. 4, 2023), and Untitled Transformers (July 19, 2024).
