According to a recent Deadline article, the release of Max's The Penguin has been delayed as a result of the ongoing strikes by the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA). Although Max had not officially announced a release date for The Penguin, it was initially anticipated to premiere in spring 2024. However, the series is now aiming for a release in fall 2024.
