When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet's greatest threat in FX's highly anticipated TV series Alien: Earth from creator Noah Hawley. FX's Alien: Earth original series coming in 2025, only on Hulu.
Deadline has revealed that David Rysdahl has been cast as a series regular in Noah Hawley's Alien prequel series. Although the details about his character are being kept secret, Rysdahl joins an ensemble cast that includes Sydney Chandler as the meta-human Wendy, Alex Lawther as soldier CJ, Samuel Blenkin as Boy Kavalier, a CEO, Essie Davis as Dame Silvia, Adarsh Gourav as Slightly, and Kit Young as Tootles. Prior to Rysdahl's announcement, Timothy Olyphant was also confirmed to be part of the cast. While his role remains unconfirmed, Deadline has heard that he will portray Kirsh, a synthetic being who serves as a mentor and trainer for Wendy. Wendy is an intriguing character with an adult's body but a child's mind and consciousness.
This new Alien series, executive produced by Ridley Scott, takes place before the iconic Ripley era and marks the first installment in the franchise to be set on Earth, approximately 70 years into the future.
