As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Alison Brie, currently seen on Peacock’s thriller limited series Apples Never Fall, has secured the prominent antagonist role of Evil-Lyn in the live-action adaptation of Masters of the Universe, produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films.

Brie will be joining Nicholas Galitzine and Camila Mendes in the adaptation of the well-known toy brand first launched in the 1980s. Galitzine takes on the lead role of He-Man in the series, while Mendes is cast as Teela, the captain of the royal guard and a potential romantic interest.

Travis Knight directs the feature film, and the screenplay is by Chris Butler, building upon earlier drafts created by David Callaham and the Nee brothers, Aaron and Adam. Produced by Escape Artists and Mattel Films, the film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on June 5, 2026.
