Fox has announced its midseason premiere dates, featuring the return of American Dad! to the network after its run on TBS for over a decade. The animated series will premiere on February 22 and will air alongside Family Guy and Universal Basic Guys on Fox’s Sunday night animation block.
The Simpsons will wrap up its 37th season on February 15, airing its milestone 800th episode at 8 p.m., followed by the season finale at 8:30. Fox renewed the series for four more seasons earlier this year, but these seasons will each have only 15 episodes—down from 18 in the previous two, and fewer than the 20 or more episodes that most seasons of The Simpsons traditionally had. Afterward, Family Guy will take over the 8 p.m. slot on February 22, airing episodes at 8 and 9:30 for four weeks until the Biblical miniseries The Faithful premieres at 8 p.m. on March 22.
