Back in August Netflix released a Devil May Cry teaser trailer featuring a showdown between brothers Dante and Vergil. Since then fans have been waiting to find out exactly when the release date of the second season of the series will be. At the 2025 Game Awards last night, the date was finally revealed. The Netflix adaptation of the hit Capcom series will be releasing its second season on May 12, 2026.
In its official announcement Netflix provided the following synopsis for Season 2:
In season 2, a war between worlds ignites as Dante must battle the only force that mirrors his own: his estranged twin brother Vergil.
In this animated adaptation of the popular Capcom game and from the vision of Adi Shankar, sinister forces are at play to open the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon-hunter-for-hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.
