I think they are trying to ride on Fallout's success ie "all video game adaptions must be great" now

They did release an animated Tomb Raider just recently(season 2). I liked it, not award winning great but OK.

Who knows it might be good.

I get that, but I just wonder if the time has past. It really will depend on the shows quality.

I really love the fact they are using classic costume and Turner does look good in it, she's obviously good looking but to me she isn't exactly Lara Croft type, so a lot will have to do with her acting and what kind of Lara we will get, I think Waller-Bridge will likely use OG confident and cynical Lara persona more than a modern survivor version of the character.

Most difficult part is the plot itself, there's some interesting mythology in games, yes but it's nothing like Fallout when you have a lot of lore to milk, it was puzzle game first. It seems like they will lean into lost Atlantis civilization from the first game but how exciting will it be is the question.

I am down with this. She looks like she fell out of the comic. Hopefully the show feels like that too.

It's going to be remarkable that Angelina Jolie is going to be the best Lara Croft by far. I used to love the character and the games, but they haven't been worth much in a long time.

Interesting enough to catch at least a part of the show at this point.

Probably this indicates a shift in the tone, but.. let's wait for at least a few episodes.

Poor casting.
