This reminds me of Battleship, although at least in Battleship there was a Battleship. But you're right. Why buy the IP at all?
Why would this even be a thing? why make a Matchbox Movie, which has nothing to do with the toyline? this could be any movie, so why even bother using an IP like Matchbox when you are not even going to try, pure stupid, it wouldn't have been hard to actually make a Matchbox movie....here I'll do it.
A group of grown ups who used to be really good friends as kids who were outsiders amongst their piers found everlasting friendships and bonds through their love of playing with Matchbox toys, they had a Matchbox car club, it ment everything to them, and they each had their own "special car" they kept forever, as time went on naturally they grew apart, but when one strange night one of the friends son's wishes upon a star that his dad's favourite toy Matchbox car was real! (because how much dad loves it and was just fired from his job, and he wants to bring his dad some joy, which he gets from the memories of his toy car) and so happens magic...and it becomes a real car, the man is amazed, and quickly gets the attention of his old friends to bring about a reunion, after contacting them he comes to find out, all of the friends favorite Matchbox car has become a real car!, but Oh No an evil corporation finds out about this "magic' occurence and begins to seek out the friends and their magic cars, so they can harness the magic for evil corporate bad guy stuff, ....oh the cars also telepathically talk to their owners...
Yay Matchbox movie. Now was that so hard?
also hey if you want to hire me this could ALSO be the Hotwheels movie...
Arturo Castro is really funny. I don't understand why Cena isn't in any of the pictures.
