Weekend Box Office: Send Help Stays on Top

February 9, 2026
In a soft Super Bowl weekend, Sam Raimi’s Send Help led for a second straight, making an estimated $10 million to bring its 10-day total to $35.8 million. Historically the Super Bowl, the biggest TV event of the year, brings the box office to a standstill. Coupled with fridged weather and we were left with weekend total of roughly $60 million. But three new films managed to find their audience and make the Top 5 this week.
The rest of the U.S. Top 5 Box Office Results for February 6-8:
Angel Studios' Solo Mio debuted at number two, marking Kevin James's first live-action wide theatrical release since 2015’s Pixels. The film, featuring James as a recently single fiancé who continues with his honeymoon plans, opened with $7.2 million—a commendable return for the comedian.
Iron Lung secured the third position, earning $6.2 million. This indie hit, produced by YouTube creator Markiplier (Mark Fischbach), has totaled $31.2 million against a reported $3 million budget. Markiplier not only self-financed and distributed Iron Lung, but also wrote, directed, and starred in the production.
In fourth place, Stray Kids: The Dominate Experience opened with $5.5 million. Released by Bleecker Street, the documentary chronicles the South Korean boy band's world tour and their sold-out Los Angeles performance at SoFi Stadium.
Rounding out the top five was director Luc Besson’s Dracula remake, debuting with $4.5 million. Featuring Caleb Landry Jones and Christoph Waltz, the film marked Vertical’s best opening weekend to date, surpassing We Bury the Dead.
